Diesel Train Ivano-Frankivsk-Vorokhta. Travel and Errands

Trips on suburban trains attract tourists with their convenience and low cost. Travellers move about in large groups and with bulky backpacks, and a suburban train will always have room for groups of any size, as well as space for luggage. The Ivano-Frankivsk-Vorokhta route is quite popular with those who love conquering mountain peaks, and along the way you can already savour the beauty of the Ukrainian Carpathians.

The morning suburban train Ivano-Frankivsk-Vorokhta, number 6404-6403, departs from Ivano-Frankivsk station at 08.15 and arrives at Vorokhta station at 11.05.

 

In 2 hours and 50 minutes the rolling stock covers a distance of about 90 kilometres. It makes 21 stops, at the stations of Bystrytsia, Khryplyn, Druzhba, Bratkivtsi, Dachnyk, Tysmenychany, Tsutsyliv, Tarnovytsia, Nadvirna, Loieva, Liubizhnia, Deliatyn, Dora, Yaremche, Yamna, Mykulychyn and Tatariv. The stops take up 21 minutes. Sometimes the train lingers at a station to clear the single-track line for an oncoming passenger train.

From Vorokhta the train departs at 16.38. The second pair of the diesel train, 6402-6401, on the Ivano-Frankivsk-Vorokhta route, departs from Ivano-Frankivsk at 20.34 and arrives in Vorokhta at 23.31. In the morning, at 04.10, this train hurries to the regional centre and arrives at 07.06.

The morning hours are used by residents of the settlements closest to Ivano-Frankivsk to travel to work, to study and on errands. From Vorokhta the train sets off with only a few passengers, and the next stops — Tatariv, Mykulychyn, Yaremche — do not add significantly to the passenger flow. The carriages fill up only in Nadvirna and at the stops beyond it. The daily timetable of the diesel train may change owing to works to repair the infrastructure and the rolling stock.
