The Pokrovsk-Pavlohrad-Lozova Suburban Train

Suburban trains are not only a transport link between towns, but also a fascinating chance to travel to interesting places on a day off, to feel the union of nature and the steel highway. Trips by electric train have their own features: no crowds, no traffic jams, and the fare is cheaper. The Pokrovsk-Pavlohrad-Lozova suburban train links three regions - Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk and Kharkiv.

27 March, Theatre Day. A Tour of Ukraine's Theatres

Theatre Day, founded by the International Theatre Institute under UNESCO, has been celebrated all over the world since 1961. On 27 March congratulations go to all who are involved in creating vivid spectacles in the temples of Melpomene — stage directors, artists, actors, costumiers, decorators, producers, cashiers, sound engineers, cloakroom attendants and all theatre-lovers, spectators and students of theatrical colleges. And although this holiday is considered professional, and the date is not marked in red in the calendars, for the workers of the stage this day is always a working one, and the spectator is the most welcome guest.

Pavlohrad. We stroll, we look, we get acquainted

We know little of the history and landmarks of the provincial cities of Ukraine, remote from the capital and the regional centres. Pavlohrad is one of those cities that tourists do not aspire to visit. For travellers the stereotype of an industrial city without landmarks kicks in. If fate casts you into the centre of the coal basin of the Western Donbas, you will find much of interest. Let us begin with the religious buildings, whose number approaches twenty.
