Biryuchyi Island. Mysterious and astounding

If Henichesk and the Arabat Spit became my discovery of 2016, then Biryuchyi Island is a super-discovery, and my impressions of the trip there are simply astounding.

Truskavets is one of the best resorts in Ukraine, known since the middle of the 19th century. A mild climate, beautiful nature, mineral-water springs and other beneficial factors fostered the growth of this health resort in the 20th century.

Staryi Sambir

Being in Sambir I learnt that when there was tatar-mongol invasion, people who settled here gave this name in memory of a town burnt down by enemy. The first Sambir was on fire and arose from ashes a few times, becoming Staryi Sambir. And this is not surprising as it was founded in 11th century. What kind of life is Staryi Sambir living now at the threshold of it’s millennium?

To Henichesk I travelled by suburban electric train from Dnipropetrovsk, without stopping at every railway platform, which is very important for a quick arrival of holidaymakers from the industrial regions.
